Welcome to JARDIN
Jardin Spectrum Assist, known as JARDIN, is an autistic-led, family-owned and multidisciplinary allied health practice specialising in Autism and ADHD diagnostic assessment, Functional Capacity Assessments, NDIS evidence and post-diagnostic support.

We work with children, adolescents and adults whose needs may be missed, masked, high-support, late-identified or misunderstood. This includes women, girls, trans, nonbinary and gender-diverse people, high-masking clients, autistic people with high support needs, ADHDers with complex functional impact, and families who have felt dismissed by previous systems.

Our team brings together Developmental Education, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, and Clinical Nursing input to provide a clear diagnostic understanding, strong functional evidence, and recommendations that make sense in real life.
Choose the pathway that best matches what you need.
JARDIN offers two diagnostic pathways for Autism and ADHD: Essential and Comprehensive.

1. Essential Diagnostic Assessment (16+) — $1,450
The Essential Diagnostic Assessment is for people aged 16 and over who want diagnostic clarity without requiring a full comprehensive written report.
This pathway may suit people seeking personal understanding, identity clarity, healthcare guidance, workplace or study conversations, or a shorter diagnostic outcome document.
What you receive:
-
Autism and ADHD assessment, where clinically appropriate
-
ADHD considered at no additional fee when assessed alongside Autism
-
consideration of relevant co-occurring and differential factors, where clinically relevant
-
intake session, including clinical interview and developmental history review
-
assessment session
-
feedback session to discuss results and next steps
-
assessment completed by a Multidisciplinary Team, including our Clinical Psychologist and either our Developmental Educator, Occupational Therapist or Clinical Nurse
-
use of standardised tools where relevant, such as MIGDAS-2, Conners-4, DIVA-5, ABAS-3 and WHODAS 2.0
-
8–12 page diagnostic outcome letter or summary letter
-
key recommendations
-
The same thorough assessment process and diagnostic tools used in our comprehensive service.
This pathway does not include:
-
a full comprehensive diagnostic report
-
detailed functional capacity reporting
-
full adaptive functioning analysis
-
detailed NDIS-focused recommendations
Turnaround: Approximately 1–2 weeks after assessment completion.
Payment plans available
2. Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment (All Ages 3+) — $1,890
The Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment is for children, adolescents and adults who require a full written report with detailed clinical reasoning, functional understanding and recommendations.
This pathway may suit people and families who want a deeper understanding of the person’s neurodevelopmental profile, not just a diagnostic outcome. It is also often appropriate where detailed evidence is needed for NDIS, education, employment, healthcare, Centrelink, therapy planning, family understanding or formal support systems.
What you receive:
-
Autism and ADHD assessment, where clinically appropriate
-
ADHD considered at no additional fee when assessed alongside Autism
-
intake session, including clinical interview and developmental history review
-
assessment session
-
feedback session to review results and support planning
-
A full multidisciplinary team — Clinical Psychologist, Developmental Educator, and Occupational Therapist, and where clinically relevant, a Clinical Nurse.
-
clinical interview and developmental history review
-
use of standardised tools where relevant, such as MIGDAS-2, Conners-4, DIVA-5, ABAS-3 and WHODAS 2.0
-
sensory, adaptive functioning and functional impact analysis
-
consideration of relevant co-occurring and differential factors, where clinically indicated
-
full written diagnostic report, usually 40–60 pages depending on complexity
-
diagnostic outcome letter or summary letter
-
detailed recommendations
What the report explains:
-
The Comprehensive report brings together the person’s developmental history, assessment results, clinical observations, functional impact and support needs into one clear written document.
-
The report explains the person’s Autism and ADHD profile where clinically relevant, including how their neurodevelopmental differences affect daily life, learning, relationships, sensory processing, emotional regulation, adaptive functioning and participation.
-
Where clinically indicated, the report may also consider co-occurring or differential factors such as anxiety, trauma, PTSD, burnout, emotional regulation, learning history or personality-related patterns. These areas are only included where they are relevant to the person’s presentation and assessment questions.
-
Recommendations are linked to the person’s assessed needs and may include relevant allied health, medical, educational, community, workplace, home-based or support services.
Turnaround: Approximately 2–4 weeks after assessment completion.

Important Notes About Both Pathways
ADHD is included where clinically appropriate
-
JARDIN does not charge an additional fee for ADHD assessment when ADHD is considered alongside Autism.
-
We include ADHD because Autism and ADHD commonly co-occur, can interact in important ways, and understanding both can provide clearer insight into a person’s neurodevelopmental profile.
-
JARDIN does not currently offer standalone ADHD-only assessments.
No unexpected assessment-session fees
-
Both pathways include an intake session, an assessment session and a feedback session.
-
If a third or fourth assessment session is clinically required to complete the diagnostic process, JARDIN does not charge an additional assessment-session fee. We believe clients should know the cost of their diagnostic pathway upfront.
Medication pathways are separate
-
Some clients may later choose to explore an ADHD medication pathway.
-
JARDIN does not prescribe medication. Although JARDIN provides formal clinical diagnostic assessment, medication decisions are made separately by an appropriately authorised medical practitioner. Depending on the person’s age, location and state or territory prescribing requirements, this may involve a psychiatrist, paediatrician or authorised GP.
-
The prescribing clinician may complete their own review, request further information or conduct additional assessment before making medication decisions.
Co-occurring and differential factors are considered
-
Where clinically relevant, JARDIN also considers co-occurring and differential factors as part of the diagnostic formulation. This may include anxiety, trauma, PTSD, burnout, learning history and personality-related patterns.
-
This is included as part of the assessment process and does not attract an additional fee.
-
This does not mean every person is assessed for every possible condition. It means we consider relevant factors so that Autism and ADHD are understood properly and are not confused with, or overshadowed by, other parts of the person’s history or profile.

How We Work
JARDIN’s approach is neuroaffirming, person-centred, trauma-informed and grounded in real life.

We do not assess people through stereotypes, deficit-only assumptions or expectations that they should mask, suppress distress or appear more typical. We look at the whole person, including their communication, sensory needs, strengths, support needs, environment, identity, daily life and lived experience.

These frameworks are meaningful to us because they are informed by lived experience, clinical training, multidisciplinary practice and the realities we see in everyday life.

Our work is designed to provide more than a label. We aim to give people, families and support systems clear understanding, strong evidence and practical recommendations that can be used in real life.

Our Approach
-
Neuroaffirming: We respect identity, communication preferences, sensory needs, autonomy and lived experience.
-
Person-centred: Assessment and support should make sense for the person’s real life, not force them into one standard pathway.
-
Trauma-informed: We aim to make assessment respectful, predictable and safe, especially for people who have experienced invalidation, exclusion or masking pressure.
-
Strengths-aware: We recognise strengths without using them to minimise support needs.
-
Functionally grounded: We consider how Autism, ADHD and co-occurring factors affect daily life, support needs and participation.
-
Evidence-informed: We use clinical reasoning, developmental history, multidisciplinary input and appropriate tools to support clear diagnostic and functional understanding.
